Why I love teaching at Molloy College
In my opinion, teaching Classical Guitar is the greatest job anyone could ask for, and I am proud to be able to do that here at Molloy College. The students here bring enthusiasm and a great passion for music to the classroom!
Academic Interests
- Classical Guitar
- Guitar Ensemble
- Computer Writing-Music
What I am working on
As a performer by trade, I am constantly practicing and preparing new works to perform. Currently my biggest project is a large set of pieces by Johann Kasper Mertz titled "Bardenklange, Op. 13". Outside of Molloy, I work with a large amount of private Classical Guitar Students, and perform either as a soloist, with "The Miriam Duo" (violin and guitar), or with the "McCormack/Gotzen-Berg Duo" (soprano and guitar).
Educational Philosophy
I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience music actively, either as a listener, performer, or composer. Music education is fundamental to providing a well-rounded education for all students.
