Our M.S. Program

The Graduate Nursing Program at Molloy College offers a Masters of Science degree in nursing specialties pertinent to contemporary nursing. A foundation of core courses prepares students with a theoretical base and processes prior to study in the selected specialty area.

Students can choose to study in one of the seven nursing specialty tracks; nursing education, administration and informatics, clinical nurse specialist, and four practitioner tracks: family nurse practitioner, adult nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner and psychiatric nurse practitioner. Each track provides academic experiences that build on the core courses and integrate practica appropriate to the specialty. Faculty with expertise in each of the areas conduct courses on campus and clinical practica, and coordinate preceptorships with colleagues in a variety of health care settings and roles. Students work closely with all the professors and an advisor from the selected specialty throughout the program. The program is designed to provide advanced study of nursing with resources to promote success and professional advancement. The college strives to accommodate the interests and needs of the graduate student to promote individual growth and a sense of enthusiastic and enduring inquiry. Academic success and satisfaction for each student is a prime goal of the program.
