Ready. Set. Learn! At Molloy College, you'll begin your first semester as part of a freshman learning community which is a group of student learners in linked courses. Freshman learning communities at Molloy allow freshmen to:
- Explore an interest or become acquainted with a major field of study
- Participate in a community of learners, fellow freshmen enrolled in the same courses
- Form friendships with fellow students and bonds with faculty as you learn
- Sharpen skills necessary to succeed in college
- Fulfill general education or major degree requirements
- Learn how to make the best use of resources available as a student at Molloy College.
Freshman can choose from a variety of communities built around particular themes or courses of study.

Honors Learning Community: Fall Program
Honors Learning Community for Nursing Students: Fall Program
Each Freshman Learning Community includes a course called FST 101, The College Experience, a one-credit course required for all Molloy freshmen. FST 101:
- Aids students in making a successful transition to college studies
- Sharpens important skills needed for college success, such as note taking, time management, and library research
- Explores major and career options
- Answers student questions about advisement and registration
- Helps students become involved in campus activities
- Helps students make the best use of a wide array of campus services
