A.H.A. Basic Life Support and Renewal

Molloy College offers three different courses in it's AHA Basic Life Support Series:
- A.H.A. Basic Life Support Instructor Course
- A.H.A. Basic Life Support Certification Course
- A.H.A. Renewal Life Support Certification Course

A.H.A. Basic Life Support Instructor Course

The healthcare instructor course provides the instructor candidate with the knowledge and skills to conduct basic life support (B.L.S.) education according to A.H.A. standards. Candidates will be guided in the development of teaching techniques and C.P.R. concepts through lecture and manikin practice. A current B.L.S. healthcare provider card required.
The course is typically offered during the day, on either Fridays or on Saturdays for two sessions, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each session at both our Rockville Centre and Suffolk Center locations. Instructor: Camille Twardzik

A.H.A. Basic Life Support Certification Course

This 5-hour course is designed for health care providers. The course is composed of instruction in basic life support, the automatic external defibrillator, as well as technical aspects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Classes are held during the day, evening and weekends at the Rockville Centre Campus and the Suffolk Center throughout out the year. This course should be taken for your initial certification or if your certification has expired.
Faculty: Certified American Heart Association Instructors. Basic (5 Hours).

A.H.A. Renewal Life Support Certification Course

This course is designed for health care providers who need to renew their basic life support certification. Classes are held during the day, evening and weekends at the Rockville Centre Campus and the Suffolk Center throughout out the year. A current B.L.S. healthcare provider card is required to register for the renewal course.
Faculty: Certified American Heart Association Instructors. Renewal (3.5 Hours)
Course Number: NU-0093. Tuition: $65.
