The Partner Project
The Partner Project is about people developing relationships built on respect, patience and dignity. Healthy relationships support personal growth and safety which transcends into a life of meaning filled with many opportunities for success. The Partner Project at Molloy College is a collaborative effort to raise awareness about relationship violence through education, research and dialogue. The Partner Project is dedicated to those individuals who suffer in silence due to relationship violence.
The Partner Project, in collaboration with student clubs, has events scheduled for the spring semester that will continue to shine a light on relationship violence: (additional information will be posted)
- March 31 - April 3, 2014: The Red Flag campaign
- April 4, 2014: Take Back the Night and Together As One: Relationship Violence - Love, Loss and Breaking the Silence with keynote speaker: Sharon Love - Mother of Yeardley Love and Co-Founder of the One Love Foundation. Sharon Love's daughter, Yeardley Love was beaten to death in May 2010 by her ex-boyfriend; both were athletes at the University of Virginia. The One Love Foundation was established in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Love. Panel discussion will follow keynote address. The panel will discuss the issues surrounding relationship violence. Participants will include keynote speaker Sharon Love; Sergeant Judy Hoffman, Domestic Liaison, Nassau County Police. 3 p.m. is the start time for Together As One: Relationship Violence - Love, Loss and Breaking the Silence. 5:30 is when Take Back the Night begins.
