Academic Tutors

Academic tutors fall into three categories:

  • Professional: Active/semi-retired teachers or professionals certified in the field they are to tutor, i.e., nurses, school teachers
  • Graduate: Individuals who have a graduate/undergraduate degree but no work experience in the field they will be tutoring
  • Peer: Students from Molloy who have taken and successfully completed the course in which they will be tutoring with a B+ or better

Tutors are paid according to category and experience. Determinations are made by the AcE program coordinator. Qualified tutors may be referred by faculty or self-nominated.
