Recommended PC/Mac Specs

Molloy has a variety of machines on campus. Some notes on our reccomendations:

  • At this time, we do not provide students with equipment or offer purchasing programs (New services launching in the Summer of 2015!)
  • Technology Support Services does not support or repair student purchased computers. We can assist you by provide recommendations but our technicians cannot work on non-Molloy equipment. 
  • Technology Support Services will provide support for connecting personal devices to our network on campus via wireless internet

Computer labs on campus contain either Dell or Lenovo machines with the following specifications or similar:

  • OS: Windows 7 Professional
  • Memory: 8GB, NON-ECC, 1600MHZ DDR3
  • Processor: 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 (8M, 3.4GHz w/HD4000 Graphics)
  • Hard Drive: 250GB 3.5 SATA 6Gb/s
  • Network: 1 Gigabit Ethernet and/or Wireless Ethernet

MAC Laptops and desktops feature similar specifications as above with the exception of the OS. MAC OS X Lion is the latest release for Apple computers.
