Long Island Black Artists Association: The Charles Winslow Memorial Exhibition July 13 - August 15, 2014 Opening Reception: Sunday July 13, 2014 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. The Frank and Gertrude Art Gallery at Molloy College will exhibit the work of the Long Island Black Artists Association in honor of Charles Winslow, a past president and a founding member of the group. Winslow, as he liked to be called, died this spring and this exhibition is dedicated to his love of Art and his long time association and the groups association with Molloy College.

The Long Island Black Artists Association is one of the oldest arts organizations in existence on Long Island and has over 400 members at times. Artists will include BA Djibril Ngawa, Brent Bailer, David Wilson, Deborah Corbin-Young, Dorris Campbell, Ethel Washington, Galvin Bisserup, James Whitten, Kenneth Smith, Maxine Townsend-Broderick, Neil Williams, Olita Jenkins, Rebecca Fowler and Rosa Hanna Scott.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception in honor of Winslow on Sunday, July 13, where the artists will be present. We are also establishing the Charles Winslow Memorial Prize for Excellence in Fine Art that hopefully will be given at all other venues by the group.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday for the months of July and August. For additional information, email artgallery@molloy.edu or call 516.323.3196.
