Renowned Nurse Speaks At Molloy College

More than 500 nurse clinicians, graduate and undergraduate students, administrators and educators were on hand March 2 at the Molloy College Division of Nursing's third annual doctoral forum research lecture and poster sessions, which was themed "Caring in Nursing: Theory, Science and Philosophy."
The event featured Jean Watson, RN, PhD, AHN-BC, FAAN, founder and director, Watson Caring Science Institute, who presented the core parameters of the philosophical and theoretical components of human caring; the 10 Caritas processes and how they relate to nursing practice and self-healing; and methods and modalities that integrate caring science and heart science to create caring-healing environments.
