Employment is central to maintaining a desirable quality of life, affecting day-to-day activities, financial status and well-being. Those seeking employment must treat their job search as "their job", devoting each week to that goal. You will learn how to plan effective job search strategies, including specific actions to take and resources to use, to achieve success. You will also learn how to create highly effective resumes and cover letters, designed to land interviews. This seminar provides a straightforward and positive approach to job-hunting, regardless of the economic climate.
The session will be led by Karen McKenna, an enthusiastic and creative Career Management Professional with over 25 years of experience across multiple industries. She writes a monthly column for Long Island Business News, which focuses on current job search and career planning issues. The seminar is offered at no charge to Molloy students and those who are unemployed at no charge and $40 for all others. You should register at least one week in advance to assure yourself of a seat.
