Molloy instructor featured in Long Island Business News who’s who in education
Jamie Cohen is the instructor and program director of Molloy College's new New Media program. Cohen co-founded the program and major based on new media theory and applied theory. The program and initiatives are to advance communication through the continual learning of new media progress and technological breakthroughs, with a focus on increasing student media awareness and savvy use of the Internet. Cohen is proud of Molloy College's commitment to New Media, as well as the students who are eager to learn about the many new exciting changes in media and communications.
"The students and the faculty here are genuine and authentic, and they display that in their everyday attitudes," Cohen in Education said.
Cohen previously served as director of web and digital media at The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University, where he taught digital journalism and media studies. His research is based on web-based television, online tools, digital curation, and digital literacy. He is skilled in website management and has been published several times on media literacy and digital media curation.
