Hall of Fame Induction for Molloy College Head Basketball Coach Kate Lynch

Former Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball standout, and current Molloy College Head Women's Basketball Coach, Kate Lynch has been selected as a member of the Class of 2014 for the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame. In all, five former student-athletes and three teams were tabbed for induction into the Northeast-10 Hall of Fame.
Lynch, who was also inducted into the Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2014 earlier this spring, helped guide the Owls to the 2007 NCAA Division II National Championship and was named Most Outstanding Performer during the run. She capped her career as a two-time All-American. Lynch is the all-time leading scorer in Southern Connecticut history (1,779 points) and ranks fifth all-time in rebounds (650).
Upon the completion of her playing career, Lynch has embarked on path in coaching. She is currently entering her second year as the head women's basketball coach at Molloy College. Previously, Lynch built the Community College of Rhode Island program into a national power, capped by her selection as the 2013 Russell Athletic/WBCA National Coach of the Year in the junior/community college classification. She also previously served on the coaching staffs at Fairfield University and Clark University.
During the course of the upcoming 2014-15 academic year, each new member of the Hall of Fame will be recognized and honored by their respective schools.
