Campus Ministries Midnight Run
Our first Midnight Run is Thursday, October 18! In case you forgot...Midnight Run is a not for profit organization that delivers food, clothes, toiletries, blankets and backpacks to those who are living on the streets of Manhattan. It is called Midnight Run because the items are delivered by van at various stops throughout the city between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.. Molloy has been part of the awesome organization for seven years!
This year, we have 5 runs scheduled. Two runs in the fall and three runs in the spring. Four of the runs we will travel with our friends from Caldwell College. Caldwell is a Dominican College located in Caldwell, New Jersey. One run in the spring is sponsored by the Trio and Social Work Clubs at Molloy.
Our runs for the year are FULL, however; we count on the support of the Molly Community through prayer AND donations for the runs. The runs can't happen if we do not have the items to bring to the people! Our friends on the street ALWAYS look forward to seeing the Molloy/Caldwell group because we love the conversation with them, as well as, we bring items that are really nice! They appreciate it so very much!
For this run, we need...
- Gently used back packs or gym bags
- Gently used full or twin size blankets, comforters or sleeping bags
- Gently used or new washcloths
- Monetary donations
Items can be delivered to the Sacred Heart Chapel any day after 1:30pm (please leave items near the piano), or can be dropped off in Campus Ministries Office (Public Square 390) or give us a call at 516.323.3224 and we will come and pick up the items from you!
Please bring all donations in by Monday, October 15.
Thanks so much!
