Breaking the Silence
The Partner Project presents...Breaking the Silence
A conference presented by the Partner Project at Molloy College
The Partner Project, with the support of the Office of Advancement and the Office of Student Affairs, has organized its second annual event: Together as One: Relationship Violence - Love, Loss and Breaking the Silence forum. It will take place on Wednesday April 22 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Madison Theatre.
We are very fortunate to have Jillian Loyden with us for this event. Jillian is the former goalie of the US Woman's soccer team. In honor of her sister, Britton who was murdered by her boyfriend, Jillian has established the Jillian Loyden Foundation. One of its goals is to help break the silence against relationship and domestic violence. Jillian brings awareness to the issues of relationship and domestic violence so that what happened to her sister, Britton, doesn't happen to another women. She wants Britton's story to be heard. She does not want another family to go through what her family has experienced. The spirit of her sister carries on inside of Madden Armani, Britton's, 3-year-old son.
I hope you will consider attending and hear this compelling story. There will be time for questions and answers after Jillian speaks. The event reaches across all age groups and we hope the conversation will continue. The event is free and open to everyone. Please feel free to bring friends and family and share the flyer with others who may have an interest in attending. If you would like specific information about the event or The Partner Project please contact Dr. Aprigliano.
