Assistant Professor of Social Work

Molloy College, located on Long Island in Rockville Centre, NY, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work.  This individual will provide instruction in various aspects of the CSWE accredited baccalaureate social work curriculum as designed by the Department of Social Work at Molloy College.  It will be important to utilize teaching methodologies, technologies and other current trends that reflect the most up-to-date advances in social work practice and scholarship.

Molloy College is a well-respected, vibrant community that serves the Long Island-New York metro area.  The Dominican tradition of scholarship, service, community and spirituality is a natural fit for the social work program and our students are involved in a wide variety of outreach efforts both locally and beyond.  The Department also enjoys a collaborative relationship with the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service in providing a Fordham earned Master's degree (MSW) utilizing Molloy's campus, our joint resources and faculty. 

The position encompasses the full range of faculty responsibilities including academic advisement, scholarship and research, Division and College activities and committees, teaching in both the day and evening program, and some other program-specific administrative responsibilities.  Criteria include a Master's degree in Social Work, an earned doctorate in Social Work and prior teaching experience on the baccalaureate and/or masters level.  Rank and salary are determined by academic preparation and professional experience.
